Bologna – what an adventure. This vibrant city is home to the University of Bologna which was founded in 1088. It is the oldest university in the world. The city is alive and well with students intermingling with residents and tourists throughout the porticoed streets.
I enjoyed an enlightening week of classroom instruction with friends old and new. Grazie mille alla scuola di Madrelingua Bologna. We had so much fun with our wonderful teachers during the day and indulged in various Aperitivi in the evenings.
The history is fascinating and the food and Sangiovese red is amazing in Bologna. Stay tuned for a tour where we will eat our way throughout Emilia-Romagna.
